R- umours have it that B'Kara are willing to sign a new foreigner to replace Tunisian striker Ridha Dardouri who has failed to live up to expectations so far. In the mean time, Dardouri could be loaned to another club. B'Kara denied that they are interested in Floriana keeper Dominique Wouters but have not ruled out their interest in unsettled Hibs midfielder Michael Spiteri. As for Wouters, he is in the centre of a controversy after that he declared that he had received a very good offer from another Premier club, despite the fact that he is still under contract with the Greens for the rest of the season.
- The following players won the GFA Player of the Month Awards in Gozo. Jude Madu (Ghajnsielem) won the award for September while Mark Buttigieg (Xaghra) won it for October. In Division 1, Fehmi Rama (Sannat) won the award reserved for Division 1 for September while Joe Cini won it for the month of October.

- Chucks Nwoko is very close to reaching an agreement with the MFA to join the national squad.

- Hamrun Spartans stated that they were not ready to pay for the damages made to the pitch at the Victor Tedesco Stadium following Sunday's matches. Two matches were played under torrential rain which reduced the new surface into a muddy pitch. It was quite a surprise that matches, especially the one between Pieta` and Tarxien, was played on a pitch where the lines were hardly visible. In an interview with local daily, "The Malta Independent", Hamrun president Victor Tedesco says that he is ready to back out of the contract signed for the staging of Premier and First Division football at Hamrun. Anyway according to Tedesco, it is only possible for football to be resumed at Hamrun only in 6 - 8 weeks' time.

- Snippets: Tarxien's Nebjosa Jankovic will stay with the club after that Valletta stated that they are no longer interested in obtaining his services. At the same time, Hungarian Ferenc Lovasz will probably be released by the Citizens. He is currently injured. Hibs defender Michael Spiteri decided to call it a day. He said that he is no longer motivated to play with a club with no aspirations. Sandro Gambin moved from Naxxar to B'Kara. He will probably make his debut tomorrow against Valletta.

- UEFA Under 18 Mini-Tournament Group 7 Malta vs Luxembourg 0-1 Pieta` Hotspurs' Massimo Grima scored for Malta. Malta finishes in the third place of the group behind Switzerland and Ukraine.

- First Division side Marsa FC issued a statement outlining a precarious financial position in which they appealed for financial support. Following an active transfer market, the club's performance improved radically over last year. In fact they won the Mosta Tournament. However those who had promised finacial support failed to deliver the money pledged. This could lead the club to folding-up, which would be the third in five months after Qrendi and Kalkara.

- UEFA Under 18 Mini-Tournament Group 7 Malta vs Ukraine 1-1. After going 0-1 down, a brilliant display by Velimir Sargic's eleven earned an excellent result against a strong team. Stefan Farrugia (Sta. Venera) equalised for Malta while goalkeeper Matthew Camilleri saved a penalty in the second half.

- Hamrun signed two new foreigners. They are Italian midfielder Fausto Sapuppo and Bulgarian goalie Marin Marinov. 24-year old Sapuppo played Serie C2 and Inter-regionale football with small clubs from southern Italy like Vigor Lamezia and La Vittoria. On the other hand, Marinov played first division football in Bulgaria. The former is expected to make the debut against B'Kara while Marinov will make the debut later. Their other foreigner Stoyan Poumpalov was recently transferred to Lija Athletic. In the mean time, the Spartans had another two resignations from the club and ground management.

In the match between Zebbug and Marsalforn, the score was 2-2 up to the 88th minute but then Zebbug scored following a clear foul on the goalkeeper. Despite the protests by Marsalforn, the goal was convalidated. Their players continued protesting harshly and they had FOUR players sent off.

- Carmel Busuttil won the Player of the Month Award for the Month of October. Busuttil was winning this award for the second time this year.

- Tarxien defender Joseph Agius was the only player suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner for one match.

- Hibernians are ready to transfer Charlie Scerri after that a formal request was made by the player. Most probably he will join Hamrun Spartans, although Tarxien and St. Patrick have already shown interest in him. In the mean time, club officials from Tarxien and Valletta are expected to meet to try and reach and agreement ove the transfer of Nebjosa Jankovic. Tarxien requested Ferenc Lovasz plus a sum of money but the Citizens were ready to offer other players instead of the money.

- Richard Buhagiar will probably stay with Floriana despite the interest shown in him by Birkirkara and Sliema. Rumours have it that following a meeting with the Floriana committee, the player reached an agreement with the club. On the other hand, Tarxien's foreigner Nebjosa Jankovic is not training regularly with the club since he wishes to move to Valletta. The Citizens already made an official offer for Jankovic but it was not accepted by the Rainbows.
